David Baron, M.B.A., B.A. - General Manager
Mr. Baron, as General Manager of Cowater International, has overall responsibility for the day-to-day business of the company’s four international operating groups, together with the business development group, and the finance and administration group. Mr. Baron came to Cowater in 2006 from Export Development Canada (EDC), where he had gained wide-ranging experience in the financing and underwriting of major international trade projects. Mr. Baron has led and managed transaction teams through all stages of project implementation while honing his strong leadership, management and contract negotiation skills. He has worked in collaboration with many internationally-recognized consultants, financial partners and legal firms, and has liaised with all levels of government, both in
Canada and internationally, throughout the lengthy project and transaction management process. Mr. Baron has extensive work experience in Asia, Central and South America, Europe, Africa and the
Middle East.
