Heather Anderson, B.Sc., M.Pl., P.Eng. - Project Manager

Ms. Anderson is a professional engineer with eight years of experience in rural, small town, and urban water supply design and construction. Prior to joining Cowater, she was a Project Engineer with a Canadian consulting firm working specifically in municipal water and wastewater design.  In addition to her work experience in Canada, she has gained significant international experience in the water and sanitation sector having worked with WaterAid in Malawi as well as a small Canadian NGO in Uganda.  This experience includes direct field implementation of water and sanitation projects, organizational improvements for NGOs and other implementing agencies, and lending support to federal and district government ministries to assist with sector planning, reform and coordination.  Her technical expertise includes project management, engineering design and design review, environmental assessments, construction supervision, tender document preparation and review, and preparation of cost estimates for water supply and sanitation systems construction and rehabilitation.  She is currently the Project Engineer for a Cowater assignment in Lesotho, providing support for a rural water supply and sanitation initiative.
